By using Openclaim, you agree to these terms. They are written to be understandable. Effective 22 July 2026.
Openclaim is a platform that helps individuals with similar disputes find each other and organize into collective cases that law firms can evaluate and take on. Openclaim is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract in your country. You must use the platform in good faith and for lawful purposes.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You keep ownership of the descriptions, documents and information you submit. You grant Openclaim a limited license to display, store, translate and process that content strictly to operate the service. You promise the content is truthful to the best of your knowledge and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
Don't submit false claims, harass other users, attempt to identify anonymous members, scrape the platform, upload malware, or use Openclaim to defame anyone. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate this rule.
Law firms on Openclaim are independent third parties. If a firm engages a dispute you are part of, any subsequent attorney-client relationship is between you and that firm, on their own terms. Openclaim is not a party to it.
Nothing on Openclaim — including AI summaries, dispute descriptions, match suggestions, or platform copy — is legal advice. For legal advice about your specific situation, consult a qualified lawyer.
Using Openclaim as a claimant is free. Any fees charged by a law firm that engages your case are governed by your agreement with that firm, not by Openclaim.
The service is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, or that a match will be found, or that a firm will take a case on.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Openclaim is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the platform in a way that harms other users.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Amsterdam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
